For us, sustainability is not just a buzzword, but instead a key part of our daily business. We focus our efforts on keeping a low ecological footprint and assuming responsibility for people and the environment.
We require bananas that are produced fairly and sustainably. To achieve this, we take on every challenge – no matter how big or small. We believe it is worth the effort to take care of our planet and conduct our activities in a responsible manner.
Likewise, taking responsibility for all human beings and particularly, local producing communities, is essential for us. Fair wages, reasonable medical care and good working conditions are a mandatory requirement for us and our partners.
As well, we want to give children a much better start in life, by providing learning and development opportunities. For instance, we significantly supported a project that involved the construction of a new school in Urabá (Colombia).
To achieve an excellent education, the school is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. There, more than 1,200 children have the chance to learn, have fun, and shape their own future.
